Abstract

The evaluation of the impact of copper on protein and carbohydrate metabolism of bacteria Pseudomonas aureo-faciens CNMN PsB-03 isolated from soybean rhizosphere soil have been made in sand columns experiment. Enhanced copper concentrations (100 and 300 ppm Cu/g of dry sand) provoked the realization of ability to plentiful EPS synthesis as protective mechanism, and investigated bacteria revealed a high resistance against copper toxicity up to concentration 300 ppm Cu/g of dry sand. Essential modifications in intracellular protein composition at three compared populations, formed during incubation for 20 weeks at the presence of high copper concentrations and then returned to normal cultivation condition, have been not established.
