Abstract
SYNTHESIS OF COORDINATION COMPOUNDS OF CU(II) BASED ON N(4)-(ETHYL 4-AMINOBENZOATE) THIOSEMICARBAZONES SALICYLIC ALDEHYDE DERIVATIVES. ANTIMICROBIAL, ANTIFUNGAL AND ANTIOXIDATIVE PROPERTIES
This paper describes the synthesis of four new organic substances N(4)-(ethyl4-benzoate) thiosemicarbazone derivatives of salicylic aldehyde and 29 coordination compounds of Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Co(III). The structures of the synthesized substances were confirmed using IR and NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, magnetochemical study and, in the case of [Ni(L2) DMF]·DMF single-crystal, X-ray analysis. The study of antimicrobial activity was found to be in the range of 0.125-0.500 mg/mL and antifungal activity recorded the best result on Cryptococcus neoformans the coordination compound of {Ni(HL1)Cl•C2H5OH•3H2O, where MIC = 0.016 mg/mL being more active than the control substance Nystatin. The best results of the ABTS test were recorded at the ligand H2L3 (7), and at the complex {Ni(HL3)NO3}•H2O (7.8) which at 100 μM inhibits 54.4% of ABTS•+ radicals.
