Abstract

Green microalgae Dunaliella salina is largely used in modern biotechnology due to its high content of some bioactive
substances, in special glycerol and β-carotene. One of the key factors in the cultivation process of dunaliella is the pH
level. Productivity and biochemical composition of Dunaliella salina cultivated on new nutritive medium – cultural
liquid obtained at producing blue-green algae Spirulina platensis – have been studied. The value of pH – 8.5 during the
cultivation has shown better results for these parameters, than the cultivation on spirulina cultural liquid with pH 10.
