Abstract

In this article, the bioecological characteristics of the growth, development and cultivation of new plants introduced by Elaeagnus umbellata 'Amoroso', Elaeagnus umbellata 'Fortunella', Elaeagnus umbellata 'Sweet'n'Sour', under the conditions of NGBI "Alexandru Ciubotaru", are described. These shrubs grow well, bloom, bear fruit regularly and abundantly, are resistant to drought, frost and immune to disease and pests, can be used as honey, forest, fruit-bearing plants for fruits with rich content, diversified in biologically active substances, as well as decorative purpose by abundance, the specific color of leaves, flowers and fruits. The taxa studied are distinguished by the color of the flowers, the density of the flowers, the fruit per flowering vine, the frequency of flowering shoots per shoot from the previous year, the average mass of fruit, seeds and their size, mesocarp yield and fruit conception.
