Abstract
The present work reports on study of plant regeneration carried out with callus from the leaf and petioles of female plants of Actinidia chinensis. The effects of different combinations of growth regulators for organogenesis and rooting were studied. Callus and plantlets were obtained on MS and S 2.5 medium supplemented with BAP and ANA or zeatin and ANA. Best results were obtained on S 2.5 medium added with ANA and zeatin. After 6 weeks the greatest shoot regeneration was observed in explants cultured on S 2.5 medium. For rooting, shoots were transferred to MS medium with IBA and BAP. Regenerated plants were acclimated in a sterile peat: perlite substrate and then transferred to soil.
