Abstract

Theoretical aspects of pulse electrolysis during the cathodic reduction of metal complex compounds in the waste water solutions, containing Zn(II) and Cr(III) are discussed. Electrochemical studies, including chronopotentiometry and measuring of cathode layer pH, have revealed the positive aspects of non-stationary electrolysis. Thus, there is a possibility to activate the electrode surface and givern this process. The high power consumption for the charge of double electric layer of cathode is marked, which implies the need to minimize the non-production costs.
