Abstract

According to the working methodology in geography, the work was developed in several stages, combined along
the way, respecting the following order: the documentary stage, the field stage and the laboratory stage. In the research of the given theme, reports, atlases, as well as statistical data from the database of the State Hydrometeorological
Service, the National Bureau of Statistics and others were used. The Botna river basin, as a tributary of the Dniester,
is entirely within the territory of the Republic of Moldova and is characterized by a high degree of capitalization. Respectively, this basin presents an increased degree of vulnerability in the context of the interaction of global, regional
and local processes.
Keywords: hydrographic basin, river, physical-geographical conditions, relief, climate, soils.
