Abstract

A new amelioration principle of molic salty black soils with large quantities of calcium in the form of defecation sludge calculated for the substitution of sodium in the entire soil profile is being proposed. The whole quantity of amendment is incorporated in the ploughed layer. The fertilizing and ameliorative role of the organic fertilizers is argued, as well as their indispensability in the technological process of amelioration. It has been demonstrated that on the basis of a rich organic fertilization, the sludge substitutes the sodium in the absorptive complex of the salty soil in the same energetic and complete manner as the gypsum does. The defecation sludge serves as a free of charge and renewable alternative for the gypsum which is an exhaustible and very expensive material.
