Abstract
Agriculture is the main branch of the Republic of Moldova, on which the well-being of people depends, but which
is under constant threat due to variable weather conditions, as well as pests. The main weapon against pests remains
chemical pesticides, but an environmentally friendly alternative to solving this problem are microbial preparations,
which are used as methods of biological control. One of the best biological agents currently used in agriculture are
micromycets of the genus Trichoderma. These micromycetes are effective against a wide range of phytopathogenic
agents and are used as a biofungicide, as well as a biofertilizer, but also as stimulants of plant productivity. Our research
has also demonstrated that the Trichoderma atrobruneum CNMN FD 25 strain possesses significant antimicrobial
properties and could be used as biocontrol of agricultural plants.
