Abstract

The study presents an evaluation of changes in leukocyte indices in experimental induced diabetes under the influ-ence of medicinal plant extract administration. Diabetes mellitus is frequently associated with alterations in immuneresponse and hematological imbalances, manifested by leukocytic changes. In this context, the use of phytotherapyas an adjuvant approach may contribute to the regulation of inflammatory reactions and the restoration of immuno-logical balance. The research revealed variations in total leukocyte count and leukocyte fractions under conditionsof experimental hyperglycemia, as well as a tendency toward their normalization following the administration of thephytotherapeutic complex. The results suggest the hypoglycemic and immunomodulatory effects of the plant extractsused and highlight their potential in ameliorating diabetes-associated hematological disorders. Keywords: experimental diabetes, phytotherapy, leukocytes, immunity, medicinal plants, biopreparation, lymphocytes.
