Abstract
This report presents results in the evaluation of perspective F3–F4 simple, triple, double, step and complex hybrids with high-performance quantitative characters, high essential oil content in the raw material, valuable for creating new varieties of Salvia sclarea L. The evaluated hybrids are distinguished by their tall stature, long, compact in- florescences, the large number of branches (35.2 – 69.8) of the first (12.8 – 18.0), and second (22.4 – 52.0) order of the inflorescence. 12 hybrids were selected, including: 5 simple, 2 triple, a double hybrid combination and 4 – stepped and complex, with very high essential oil content: 1.404 – 2.470% (dry matter). The simple hybrid (Cr.p 99 S13 x AP 52-11 S3)F3 was exceptional, which synthesized and accumulated a very high essential oil content of 2.470% recalculated to dry matter.
