Abstract

Green spaces are defining components of ecological balance, biodiversity conservation, climate change mitiga- tion, attractiveness and quality of life. In developing tools that can maximize the potential of green spaces, embed- ded in the landscape of human communities, under the impact of pressures and threats, the conceptual framework regarding the conservation of natural resources, biodiversity and sustainable development was analyzed; methods for recording, monitoring and managing environmental components; registers, guides and other tools for recording and managing green spaces. The importance of scientific research in the complex ecological assessment, recording, adaster and monitoring of green spaces is emphasized, in order to propose sustainable measures for the development and expansion of the green area. As a result, a model instrument for recording, complex evaluation and sustainable management is proposed, called the ecological passport of green space, outlining the definition, purpose, objectives, structure and recipients of this instrument (environmental commitments assumed by the country). Keywords: green spaces, ecological passport, assessment of ecological status, recording, sustainable manage- ment, environmental benefits. DOI: https://doi.org/10.59295/sum1(191)2026_29
