Abstract

The information regarding the methods of studying the adsorption of substances from liquids on different adsorbents has been analyzed. In the spotlight were the conditions of the contacting and separation of the phases (components) of the adsorption system. It was noted that these conditions vary greatly from different researchers, which makes difficult to compare the result obtained by them. The paper forward idea that is necessary to unify and optimize the contact and separation process of the component of adsorption system. Basing on our experimental data (adsorption in centrifugal field), we assume that these operations may be a source of methodological errors in the study of adsorption. Keywords: adsorption from solutions, shaking/centrifugation, methodological errors, centrifugal adsorption, Congo red, activated carbon.
