Abstract
VARIABILITY AND INHERITANCE OF SOME TRAITS IN GENERATIONS F3 AND F4 OF CHICKPEA (CICER ARIETINUM L.)
Inheritance and variability of some traits have been studied in populations F3 (11 families) and F4 (47 families) of chickpea from intraspecies hybrid combination of ♀MDI0432×♂MDI02419. In both generations the number of families segregated by seed pigmentation prevailed over those with no segregation. Segregation by type of seeds trait was observed mostly in F3 generation. The higher variability of such trait as weight of 100 seeds was revealed in pigmented families and its inheritance was characterized by gradient with regard to parental form with lower value of said trait. Intermediate inheritance of plant height trait was observed. Negative transgression was noted by such parameter as duration of vegetation period along with its variability within parental forms.
