Abstract

Preliminary phases of maturation were investigated germination of downy oak acorns. It has been shown that immature acorns located on synthetic medium without phytohormones manifest ability to germinate, but its germination increases as they unfold ripening a period, peakingin early September. As a heliofile species, shade even at low levels, profoundly affects the processes of growth in height of seedlings.
