THE ROLE OF RELIGIOUS STRUCTURE OF POPULATION IN INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION SHAPING IN BOTOŞANI COUNTY, ROMANIA

Abstract

This article conducts research on the role of religious particularities of population in migration networks shaping in Botoşani County, Romania. Religion still plays a primary role in society, formed some pretty strong and active social networks. Compared to other counties, in Botoşani County the population of Orthodox Christian confession always held more than 90%. Neo-Protestants and Catholics play an important role in international migration circuit in the county, and can be called "pioneers of emigration", especially Pentecostals.
