Abstract

The dunaliella productivity, content of glycerol in the dunaliella biomass at cultivation in the presence of some Ge(IV) compounds at the different light intensity was determined. The light intensity is a decisive factor in the accumulation of biomass and glycerol synthesis by D. salina grown on organic-mineral medium in the presence of Ge(IV) compounds. From all Ge(IV) compounds, GeO2 in the concentration of 20mg/L ensured the increase of productivity and glycerol with 11.2% and 33.2%, respectively, compared to the control samples.

Keywords: Dunaliella salina, organic-mineral medium, biomass, productivity, glycerol, compounds of Ge(IV), light intensity.
