Abstract

The structure of populations of an oak fluffy (Quercus pubescens Wild.) is investigated on characters of the sizes of a trunk and crown of trees. It is revealed, that in broken sylvicultural activity populations of oak trees have insignificant heights and diameters of trunks. Nevertheless, the lead inspections of the big number of the best on productivity of plantings of an oak allowed us to establish, that within the limits of populations determined quantities of strong and high trees of an oak (up to 15-17 meters of height) are present which can be used in selection work. The structure of populations of an oak of a fluffy trunk under forms and crown of trees is revealed. The distribution of trees of an oak under the form of crown depends on fytocenotic structures of plantings, and however the trees having tent crown in view of a greater assimilating photosynthetic surface, have the greatest average heights and diameters of trunks in populations. The share of their participation in populations changes within the limits of 15-34%. Most cramped by the next trees are the oaks having crown’s ,,broom”. Most frequently they are co dominant trees on the development and force of growth in plantings. Therefore, the trees, having crown ,,broom” differed in the least heights and in diameters of trunks. The share of participation in a forest stand of straight trunks trees of an oak insignificantly (15-34%), that is the consequence of their vegetative renewal. However these trees have shown the greatest growth in height in the investigated populations. In the conclusion it is necessary to note, that the revealed elite forest stands of an oak fluffy should be used in the quality of a wood seed sites for generative multiplication of the given kind. At the same time these forest stands should be included as objects of genetic resources of an oak fluffy with a view of preservation of genetic fund of this ecologically valuable kind.
