Abstract

PROFILE FREE AMINO ACIDS OF SERUM AND URINE IN CHILDREN WITH DOWN SYNDROME

There was investigated the amino acids profile of serum and urine in children with Down's syndrome, which can serve as a model dizontogenezis due to changes in gene and is characterized by lesions of the cognitive component of mental health. The results of this study suggest direct involvement of free amino acids in the development of dysfunction of brain structures and the various systems of the body as a result of an imbalance of sulfur, mediator, essential and ketogenic amino acids. This inevitably leads to underdevelopment of neurophysiologic, speech, cognitive, social and behavioral components of mental health. Keywords: mental health, amino acids, Down syndrome.
