Abstract

CARACTERISTICS OF THE GENOME OF OROBANCHACEAE

The researches both from the scientific publications and three projects included in public databases: Angiosperm Phylogeny Website, version 13, Parasitic Plant Connection, Parasitic Plant Genome Project have been analysed and some correlation between degree of parasitism and genome evolution of Orobancheae have been highlighted. It has been concluded that number of chromosomes, presence of introns, deletion of some regions of plastid genome, provides useful information for studying of genome evolution mechanisms, specific taxonomic affiliations etc. Keywords: Orobancheae, parasitism, evolution, genome, plastome, condriome, gene transfer.
