Rezumat

In the present paper the results of original contribution, concerning the synthesis of ethoxylated butanol and characterization
of the resulting product, are presented. Butanol and ethylene oxide were used in 1:5 molar ratio. Potassium
hydroxide is used as catalyst, the starting material being butanol originated from different sources. The behavior of
reaction product in aqueous solution has been investigated.
