This paper presents the analysis of the literature on the synthesis and structure of bis-thiosemicarbazones and the comparison of biological properties, especially antioxidant with that of complexes based on these rigid ligands. It has been established that the biological activity of bis-thiosemicarbazones depends on the nature of the thiosemicarbazide and the carbonyl compound used in the condensation reaction, and the properties of the coordinative combinations are influenced by the nature of the central atom, the acid residue and the nature of the ligand, in particular the nature of the substituents in position N (4) of bis-thiosemicarbazones.
