The paper deals with the results of qualitative and quantitative studies of the carbohydrate complexes isolated from cyanobacteria Spirulina platensis (Nordst.) Geitl CALU-835, Nostoc linckia (Roth.) Born et Flah CNM CB 03, red alga Porphyridium cruentum CNM-AR 01, green algae Dunaliella salina Teod.Calu CNMN-834, and Haematococcus pluvialis Flotow CNM-AV-05. The carbohydrate composition and characterization of sugar from 5 species of microalgae and cyanobacteria were detected. In each case, the presence of alcohol soluble carbohydrates, water soluble carbohydrates, and carbohydrates of hemicellulose’s and cellulose’s types is shown. The presence of sulfated polygalactans components in the hot-water extract commonly used in photobiotechnology S.platensis and P.cruentum was demonstrated.
