PECULIARITIES OF TRANSLATING TERMINOLOGICAL UNITS IN SOCIO-POLITICAL TEXTS

Abstract

This article is a study of terminological phraseology and of the peculiarities of translating terminological units of socio-political texts from French into Romanian. The theme is part of the research related to lexicology, terminology and translation studies under a formal, semantic and conceptual dimension. Investigating the phenomenon from a new linguistic perspective is a necessity of the time and of the fact that the translation process identifies difficulties of comprehension and translation (rendering the exact meaning) of the socio-political terminological units. The main issues presented in the article are: the problem of the lexical meaning and the effect of the meaning, inter-linguistic research problems – difficulties and techniques of translating the sociopolitical terminological units.
