Аннотация

The translation process represents a complex activity by which the translator must render not only linguistic aspects, but especially extra-linguistic ones taking into account the organizational culture, attitudes and customs of each economic space. The difficulty in the translation therefore lies in the conceptual synchronization by an appropriate terminology able to render the referential aspects, but also (or especially) all variations, conceptual developments of the knowledge area. The difficulties encountered in the translation of technical texts are not necessarily of linguistic nature, but they arise from the lack of the communicational framework. More precisely, a specialized translation will be accurate, clear and consistent with the target-text if one has updated information of the standard terminology (and especially the use of it), of the technical referent (the image of the object of the communication). Starting from the idea that any specialized translation deploys into a "technical" present time representing the conceptual continuum always regenerable, always updateable (undertensioned by a technical reality in permanent evolution) we consider as the first condition of success of such a translation the capacity of permanent update of the translator to the technical realities and terminologies. In addition, the ideal would be that this update process is realized in vivo (in the economic reality) and least in vitro (in an indirect way). This article wants to be in the first place a critical discussion on the mission of the translator in report especially with the communicational framework - which recipients, what strategies to adopt for effective communication, what code to use. We will underpin our analysis on a corpus of a large American company web pages translated from English into French. Keywords: theory of translation, terminology, language of specialty, applied linguistics, specialized speech, analysis of speech.
