Аннотация

Study of the novel Accidentul by Michail Sebastian in the aspect of Northrop Frye’s “central thesis” shows that the creative application of the basic mythologems about katabasis and the Great Mother gives to author the opportunity to form apokatastasis, which is exercised by the narrator towards his protagonist (Paul), Marcel Proust and his protagonists Swann and Marcel. Keywords: basic mythologem, concept of humanization of myth, world image, interpretative approach, catharsis, katabasis, Great Mother, totem/non-totem dichotomy.
