Аннотация
Following the rural electoral environment, around and during local and parliamentary elections, spent along the inter-war era, we find out a series of phenomena that characterize, in general, the Romanian political world, a proof that Bihor area integrates completely in the existing context of inter-war Romania. The characteristic features depend on the local specific. Thus, we find that Bihor rural world becomes, along with the implementation of universal vote, an active part of national policy. The peasants become interesting for candidates, being seen as potential dialog partners when its considered useful. The Romanian inter-war democracy did not function at absolute parameters. Nor was it possible. The relation between the politician and rural voters, as it had been established by the universal vote and by the Constitution from 1923, was not a solid one. This partnership suffered a lot during the two World Wars. Nevertheless, inter-war period marked a step forward in Romanian political life. Keywords: Bihor County, rural world, politics, inter-war democracy.
