Rezumat
There has been little research on the students’ emotional intelligence so far. The multiple affective problems specific to the young people and the university life determine the importance and necessity of development of the students’ emo- tional intelligence recommended in the following dimensions: axiological, cognitive, volitional, motivational, commu- nicative and in that of insertion. Emotional self-management, empathy, assertion are behavior characteristics of the persons of the high emotionality coefficient (QE). The emotional education will provide the mental health and integrity of the students under the conditions of the society experiencing changes and will prevent emotional exhaustion of the young people striving for a professional career and integration in the global communication epoch.
