Rezumat

The media convergence, in technical terms and of content, due to innovative technologies, acquires an accelerated evolution in all fields, implying an increasingly active role of the media users. The progress has influenced on educational methodology of youth in family and school. The new technology in communication, by variety of contents, introduces a new trainer, a competitor of traditional institutions of youth education. Media literacy is an element of formal training that can be expanded by continuing education. This involves the educational institutions and social environment, able to contribute to the formation of human and social integration. For education and training of young people to understand mass-media content, it propose to be insert in curricula skills training about: the place, role and importance of media in political, social, economic and cultural life - in order to build competencies in analysis and evaluation of mass-media content. The quantitative consumption of media content can’t be considered a valuable mode of education, but may be a part of the accumulation process in order to broaden the horizon and to develop personality of young.
