After more than one hundred years after the publication of Gustave le Bon's “Crowd Psychology” (1895) the role of masses on the stage of history remains equally significant and this underlines the determining influence of psychosocial factors in understanding of the political phenomena. Left in the shadow of European Social Psychology, the perspective of Psychology of Masses is brought back in the field of scientific reflection by Serge Moscovici. He wrote in “Era of Masses” (1981/2002, 13) that "besides political economy, Mass Psychology is one of the two human sciences that have made history".
