INTEGRATING RUGBY CONTENT INTO PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES AT HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL: METHODOLOGICAL PREMISES AND FORMATIVE VALUES

The study analyzes the impact of integrating rugby content into physical education classes at the high school
level, aiming to optimize the instructive-formative process by capitalizing on the formative values of this sport.
The research objectives focused on selecting and structuring specific rugby content, methodologically grounding their implementation in the didactic process, and evaluating the influence on students’ motor development.
Based on the hypothesis that the application of rugby methods significantly contributes to the development
of general and specific motor skills, the research highlighted functional correlations between the game’s technical-tactical elements and dominant motor qualities. The developed methodology provides a coherent and
progressive instructional framework for developing general and discipline-specific motor skills, simultaneously
contributing to the development of students’ personality traits by fostering teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, and adaptability in diverse motor learning contexts essential aspects for their harmonious and integrated
development.
