THE PERCEPTION OF TEACHERS ON THE CURRENT CURRICULUM

This article examines teachers’ perceptions of the current school curriculum, focusing on its relevance, impact,
and the challenges it faces in the current educational context. The study analyzes how the curriculum influences
students’ cognitive, emotional, and social development, emphasizing the importance of a curriculum that is not only
informative but also formative, supporting all dimensions of their development. Additionally, the article discusses the
role of attention as a psychological process in learning, highlighting how students’ level of concentration can directly
affect the efficiency of the educational process and their academic performance. The article proposes solutions and
recommendations based on recent research to improve the school curriculum, taking into account the perspectives
expressed by teachers in a study conducted in various schools across the Republic of Moldova. Thus, the research
contributes to a deeper understanding of how the curriculum can be improved to meet the current needs of students
and support a more efficient and equitable educational process.
