Abstract
imals with different types of constitutional stress reactivity, considered analogues of asthenic, normosthenic, and hyper-sthenic constitutional types. Experiments were conducted on Wistar albino rats grouped according to stress reactivitylevels assessed using the elevated plus-maze method. Proteolytic activity was measured by the Anson method adapted byKaverzneva. The results demonstrated significant differences among constitutional types, with the lowest protease activityobserved in hyperreactive animals and the highest in hyporeactive animals across all examined digestive tract structures.Regardless of constitutional type, pancreatic protease activity exceeded that in gastric chyme and intestinal mucosa. Thefindings indicate that proteolytic activity is determined not only by dietary protein intake but also by constitutional metabo-lic characteristics, contributing to the maintenance of metabolic processes within sanogenic limits. Keywords: proteolytic activity, digestive proteases, constitutional type, stress reactivity, metabolism, digestivetract, model animals.
