THE MATHEMATICAL OPTIMIZATION OF CULTURE MEDIUM FOR
Β- GLUCANES PRODUCTION BY SACCHAROMYCES CEREVISIAE CNMN-Y-20
This paper contains results of optimization of culture medium for Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNMN-Y-20 with aim to increase β-glucans content. The selection of components of culture medium (carbon sources, zinc acetate) with sti-mulatory effect was carried out by applying the Yates algorithm. Concentrations of optimized culture medium compo-nents g L-1: saccharose – 37,0; (NH4)2SO4 – 3,0; MgSO4•7H2O – 0,7; NaCl – 0,5; Ca(NO3)2 – 0,4; KH2PO4 – 1,0; zinc acetate – 0,00816; yeast autolysate – 10 ml. Optimized medium used for cultivation of yeast strain is characterized by obtaining 29,47 ± 0.52% β-glucans per dry biomass or 31,8% more than the original medium.
